church lane 1927

Church Lane circa 1927 - Colin Dalton recalls that "these buildings were, in my memory, always referred to as "the lodging house" as they gave accommodation to a variety of elderly retired men. It belonged to a distant branch of my family." The building who's corner runs up the left of the photo is the mock tudor version of the Falcon pub. Below: the Feb 2003 view - the ivy covered wall is that featured on the right of the 1901 photo.
