This street of terrace houses was built in around 1910 to house the workers who were to work at Dinnington pit. In the 1st decade of the 20th century this agricultural village, along with many others on this site, was set to increase its population tenfold (1,000%) - or more - and this kind of housing was common throughout the coalfields.
